More About Sophie

If you're weighed down by pain no one else can see, running on stress, or holding it together on the outside while struggling on the inside, you've come to the right place. Many clients turn to Sophie when they feel drained, stuck, or trapped in patterns that keep causing them harm. Whether the struggle is anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, bipolar disorder, or the lasting impact of emotional or physical abuse, she's here to help you find your footing again. You deserve compassionate care and a space where you can rebuild your strength safely.

My focus

I work with teens and adults navigating:

* Anxiety and depression
* Trauma and PTSD
* Bipolar disorder and cyclothymic disorder
* Autism and neurodevelopmental disorders
* Disordered eating including binge eating and emotional eating
* Women's mental health including pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns
* Stress, burnout, and major life transitions
* Domestic violence, emotional abuse, narcissistic relationships
* OCD, insomnia, chronic fatigue, and mood instability
* Grief, family conflict, relationship challenges, codependency, and infidelity
* Genetic Testing with Medication Management

Many clients come to me feeling isolated in what they're going through, gripped by fear, wrestling with self doubt, or stuck in cycles that no longer serve them. Together, we build toward clarity, confidence, and coping tools that actually last.

My communication style

I'm direct, honest, and compassionate. You can expect a calm, steady presence, clear guidance, and a pace that never feels rushed or condescending. I want you to feel truly heard while getting the structure you need to keep moving forward, always with respect and patience.

My journey to mental healthcare

Working in the emergency room put me face to face with trauma in its most raw, immediate form. I witnessed fear, pain, and people who felt invisible in their worst moments, and it sparked a deep passion in me for mental health, for chipping away at the stigma that keeps people silent, and for widening access to care across every community. That experience shapes how I practice today. I became a psychiatric provider so people could get real support that continues long after the emergency has passed.

My first session with you

Our first session centers on making you feel comfortable and building a real connection. We'll talk through what brought you in, what feels most difficult right now, and where you'd like to see your life go. I'll complete a brief evaluation or screening if it's needed. You'll walk away with a clear plan and the sense that you have a true partner in your healing.
